We are sorry to lose Celia

We can’t quite believe it but Celia is really going! She has been saying this for some time so we were beginning to be drift along with the expectation that Celia would actually always be here.

However husband Robin is waiting for her out in Georgia and, with no fuss at all, Celia is just up and going. “Il faut le faire!”

Always highly organised, she has decanted the teaching material she has lovingly devised and/or stored at home for years into our cupboards, exhorting us to value the fruit of many years’ teaching the 5-6 year olds.

Celia has been with us for almost as long as we can remember. She was always clear about her commitment and totally reliable (absenting herself only when she smashed a few bones in her feet two Christmases ago!).

The children who have passed through her classes will always retain a very positive image of a kind and firm teacher who always had as her aim that the children should enjoy their time in church and look forward to coming back.

Celia, we all wish you well for the future and know that it won’t be long before you carve yourself a niche out in Georgia. They don’t know it yet, but the Georgians are lucky to have a very special person join them!
